Welcome New Head Coach Leah
Hi Sully!!! My name is Leah Bonuccelli (“Bon-oo-chel-lee”) and I am BEYOND excited to be named your Head Coach for the 2019 summer season! I’m a 28-year-old hailing from Vienna, VA. I come from a long background (going on 25 consecutive years!) in the NVSL. I grew up swimming for Fairfax Station and spent the last four years coaching our friends over at Little Rocky Run. I’m currently a full-time professional swim coach at Machine Aquatics and was honored to be named the club’s Lead 8&Under Coach across all sites. I have experience working with the youngest of swimmers all the way up to our National group kids. Coaching has always been a part of me and growing up NVSL shaped the person I am today. I only wish to share that love and passion for swimming with you all! I was drawn to Sully because of your culture. It reminds me of the culture I fell in love with when I was 7 years old and swimming at Fairfax Station. My goal as your Head Coach is not to change that culture, but to enhance it. In the water we will focus on the fundamentals of the four strokes and stress technique above all. We’ll work hard, but we’ll have fun while doing it. I am SO excited to get started and learn the Sully way come May! I anticipate this being a match made in heaven. I can’t wait to meet you all! Until then…. GO SULLY!!
